A 1923 delicious spread for toast and sandwiches  and used in stews and soups… Vitamin B rich for patients and since World War II great nutrition.

I must admit when I first arrived in Oz…it was offered to me… The real turnoff was the smell…but you know what?  After getting over this.. I realized you need to spread it very thin…then things changed….

A few year on wards, I was having a cuppa (cup of coffee) and felt a need for a snack. Making toast, spread some butter and spreading vegemite and a slice of tasty cheese.  And yummy!! I am hooked.  “You wont be an Aussie unless you experience and love Vegemite. Love it!!!” First scanned at supermarkets in 1984, costing for 115 gram jar at $.66 AUS$

Vegemite is a nutritious, and undeniably delicious start to the day. Sure, it’s great on toast, but what if we add an egg? Or a slice of tomato? Or some cheese or creamy Aussie avo? Rich in B vitamins to kick start your day, open the lid on a world of ways to Start with VEGEMITE.
